Analog Devices Inc. ADuM3123 Isolated Precision Gate Drivers
Analog Devices ADuM3123 4.0A single-channel, gate drivers are developed using Analog Devices iCoupler® technology to offer precision isolation. Leveraging high-speed CMOS and monolithic transformer technology, ADuM3123 delivers performance superior to alternative solutions such as a combination of pulse transformers and gate drivers. Operating from an input voltage supply of 3V-5.5V, the ADuM3123 gate drivers are compatible with lower voltage systems. Unlike gate drivers using high-voltage level translation methodologies, the ADuM3123 delivers true, galvanic isolation between the input and the output. The output can continuously operate up to 380Vrms relative to the input. This capability allows the ADuM3123 gate drivers to offer reliable control of the IGBT/MOSFET switching characteristics over a wide range of negative or positive switching voltages.Features

Coupler Technology Benefits Gallium Nitride (GaN) Transistors in AC/DC Designs
GaN transistors with smaller device sizes, lower on-resistance, and higher working frequency offer many advantages over traditional silicon-based MOSFETs. Adopting GaN technology could cut total solution size without compromising efficiency.
