Analog Devices Inc. HMC1122 Digital Step Attenuators

Analog Devices HMC1122 Digital Step Attenuators are 6-bit attenuators covering 0.1-6GHz with a 31.5dB attenuation control range in 0.5dB steps. Designed using an advanced silicon process, HMC1122 attenuators offer low power consumption, fast settling time, and high ESD robustness. The devices are optimized for excellent step accuracy and high linearity over frequency and temperature range. An on-chip regulator allows the HMC1122 attenuators to operate on a 3.3-5V single-supply operating range with no performance change.

HMC1122's bidirectional, interchangeable RF inputs and outputs are internally matched to 50Ω. The RF inputs and outputs do not require any external matching components.

HMC1122 attenuators incorporate a driver that provides both serial and parallel control of the attenuator. The devices also feature a user-selectable power-up state and a serial output port for cascading other serial-controlled components. Safe-state transitions ensure the safe operation of the components in the RF signal chain.
