Bosch BMI085 High Performance IMU for AR/VR

Bosch BMI085 IMUs for AR and VR Applications combine the functionalities of a 3-axis, 16-bit accelerometer, and a 3-axis, 16-bit gyroscope into a single MEMS inertial measurement unit. The low-drift, low-noise inertial measurement units provide fast and precise head detection movement, significantly reducing lag time and motion sickness. BMI085 IMUs support SPI and I2C digital interfaces for system integration while offering a 1.2 - 3.6V VDDIO voltage range. Users can operate the gyroscope and accelerometers individually or sync the data of each together. These Bosch IMUs feature a noise density of less than 120μg/√Hz in a 3.0 x 4.5 x 0.95mm package and can easily be swapped out, pin-to-pin, with older BMI055 units. BMI085 IMUs meet all requirements for high-performance, consumer-grade VR, AR, and mixed-reality applications.

The Bosch BMI085 Shuttle Board comprises the BMI088 Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) mounted onto a PCB. These shuttle boards use a simple socket to provide access to the sensor's pins. Bosch BMI085 shuttle boards interface with Bosch Sensortec's advanced development tools due to an identical footprint to all other Bosch sensor shuttle boards.
