Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MP2796 Battery Monitors & Protectors

Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MP2796 Battery Monitors and Protectors are 7-cell to 16-cell devices designed for multiple-cell series Battery Management Systems (BMS). These devices provide a complete Analog Front-End (AFE) monitoring and protection solution. The MP2796 battery monitors and protectors support connections for 7-cell to 16-cell batteries, with an absolute voltage exceeding 80V on particular pins. These devices can achieve a State-of-Charge (SOC) error within 2% when paired with an MPF4279x fuel gauge. The MP2796 devices also incorporate Over-Current Protection (OCP), Short-Circuit Protection (SCP), battery Undervoltage Protection (UVP), battery Over-voltage Protection (OVP), and high-/low-temperature protection. These battery monitors and protectors are available in a TQFP-48 (7mm x 7mm) package. The MP2796 battery management devices are ideal for E-bikes, E-scooters, battery backup and UPSs, power and gardening tools, and Energy Storage Systems (ESSs).
