Vishay VCNT2020 Reflective Sensor with Transistor Output

Vishay VCNT2020 Reflective Optical Sensor with Transistor Output offers a 1.6mA output current in a miniature SMD package measuring 2.5mm x 2mm x 0.8mm (L x W x H). The emitting light source and the detector with silicon phototransistor are arranged in the same plane in a compact construction. When the sensor detects reflected infrared light from a nearby object, it triggers the analog output signal. The VCNT2020 greatly suppresses disturbing ambient light with the integrated daylight blocking filter, increasing the signal-to-noise ratio. Applications for Vishay VCNT2020 Reflective Optical Sensor include position sensors, optical encoders, optical switches, and object detection.
